Just because I should...

Oh...where to begin with what is new with us? We made it through the holidays and Ethan finally quit throwing up after a week of having the flu. He was better after about 4 days but would randomly throw up a few days after that...which made going ANYWHERE interesting. So, we stuck close to home. We had a wonderful Christmas in Whitefish and celebrated Christmas in Missoula with Casey's family on New Years Eve. I am feeling very good with this pregnancy and tend to enjoy it a lot more than I did with Ethan. We are 24 weeks into this now and it's hard to believe that in 4 months we will be a family of 4, with a little girl of our own. I am getting very excited and now that we know it's a girl, I feel like she should be here...but we'll keep her in and cooking for at least another 13 to 16 weeks!!!

We leave on the 29th for a family get-a-way. Just the 3 of us! I am very excited. We are headed to Cabo in Mexico for a week. It will be so nice to relax and enjoy the sun, sand and water. We do not have any plans while down there, which makes it seem all the more relaxing!!!
Casey has remained busy traveling. He just got home from a trip to France for a week. Although Ethan I and hold up while he is gone, it still is hard to say goodbye. I know that Ethan realized more than ever that daddy was gone and at 5:30, he wasn't home to play with. He was pretty whinny (he's also getting lots of teeth) and ran around saying "dadda" all the time. It was cute that he missed him so much...but the whining about drove me over the edge! Thank goodness for such good grandparents and a wonderful girls night out!!!

Some exciting news about Ethan is that he is now telling us (3 days in a row) that he has to go "poo-poo". I am trying not to jinx myself...but I am crossing my fingers that it sticks. It would be lovely for him to be poop trained before the next one arrives.

He loves clothes and shoes!!! He is starting to dress and undress himself.

Helping mom shovel the driveway

He actually is a very good help around the house. He loves helping out which is a blessing

SOOOOO sick. This is what he did for 2 or 3 days. It was quite sad to see him like this

You can't choose who you are born to...but you do chose your in-laws. I'll claim this guy!!! I actually love this picture and it shows what a fun grandpa mike is...

Like I said...he loves clothes...dressing himself in dad's shorts and socks

Going to change.

I love this picture of Ethan. He's watching the bowling ball very closely. He didn't really have the attention span (yet) for bowling...but he was pretty fascinated with the whole deal.

Loved playing with the balls as they rolled back in

Ethan and his buddy Grayson. Aren't both of these boys just adorable. I love little Grayson. He's just so cute you want to pick him up and squeeze him!!!

The beautiful flowers Casey got me for our anniversary!!! What an amazing husband God gave me. He's so much better than I could've ever dreamed of. I am thankful for him!!!

It's a...

I said I'd update...so here we go. We had our ultrasound yesterday and I told the doctor that I thought that we were having a girl. He was rather shocked since he thought he saw the man parts on the previous ultrasound. Well...sure enough...he couldn't find them again and my "motherly" instinct was right. It's a girl!!! Now, don't get me wrong...I was liking the idea of having a boy. It would definately be a lot cheaper to just have another boy. And it would be fun for Ethan...but I'm not kidding here. I was so sure of the fact that we were having a girl that I bought the crib bedding already...and it's not returnable. So, when we were told we were having a boy, I was shocked and kinda felt crazy that I was so sure it was a girl. Needless to say, I don't feel as crazy anymore and let the shopping begin!!! I'll try to contain myself.

Well, Christmas is tomorrow and sure enough, Ethan got sick, sick, sick again monday night. Our friends were coming over for dinner and I had Bible study that night and Casey wasn't home yet and all of a sudden...PUKE EVERYWHERE!!! I thought that maybe he just gagged or something because he was acting totally fine. Then Casey got home and helped clean and I cooked and we warned our friends and then 3 more times within the hour he did it again. The next morning he woke up and was kinda okay but after his 3 hour nap...he woke up completely lethargic and throwing up again. It just breaks my heart to see him like this. So we're back to the pedialyte every 10 minutes while he's awake and then we also have to wake him up to give it to him, otherwise he'll sleep for hours on end and not get any nutrients. He's on the mend though!!!

Sorry, but no pictures on this post because I am on Casey's computer which just has work information and no pictures. BORING!!! I'll post some fun Christmas pictures after things calm down. Hope you all have a Merry Christmas and enjoy your families!!!

And he continues to grow...

What's new in the Wornath family? First and foremost...we are very excited to announce that we are having another little boy!!! We had our ultrasound 2 days before Thanksgiving (only 16 weeks) and the doctor "thought" he saw the man parts...but would not officially declare it a boy until our next ultrasound which is December 23rd. I left the appt really bummed because I just wanted to know for sure one way or the other and I didn't get my FOR SURE answer. But Casey and I agreed to just go with "it's a boy" and if it changes in December...it will be entertaining. We are delighted either way! Ethan has been really whiny and crabby lately. I know that he's getting in 4 upper teeth (yes, he's 19 months and only has 2 bottom teeth) so I've tried to be a little sympathetic with him. Well, tonight after his bath, we were talking to each other and I had a clear look in his mouth. No wonder the kids been so crabby...he got in two upper molars already (all the way through). I have never heard of such a thing. So now, I feel really bad for him, but at least we're getting it all over with at once!!! He still is a really good boy though. I will try to update another post before Christmas to fill you in more with Ethan.

This is how Ethan let the word out

This picture actually cracks me up. Ethan went and grabbed his aunts lemonade and took it over, climbed in his "big boy chair" and slouched back and watched some TV. He's hilarious!

Almost 17 months

Well, I got inspired to upload a few photos...but since it's been 3 months since I've done so, I have way too many pictures to post. I have selected a few but have many more to add... Hope these will do for now. Ethan is doing very well. He is starting to mimic sounds, which is a lot of fun. He is off and running, has two teeth and is getting a sibling come May of 2009!!! I'm not too sure what he thinks of it yet, but when we ask him if he wants a sister or brother, he shakes his head yes. He does really well around other kids and loves babies. He's just a good kid. He'll be an amazing big brother!

Probably my all time favorite picture of Ethan

We met up with my friends from Washington, in Oregon, and visited Crater Lake. It was very nice to see Marc and Emily again. Great photographer by the way!!!

Birthday Party

This blog is a little late. These are pictures of Ethan's 1st birthday party here in Missoula. We had a great turn out with a lot of Ethan's friends and family. Thanks to all of those who were able to make it. Ethan at 1 year still has no teeth and was taking a few steps but nothing too close to walking. He officially started walking on Casey's 25th birthday which was May 27th, 2008. What a great birthday present. We fall in love with Ethan with each day that passes. I have never met a child with so much personality and such a sense of humor. The kid is hilarious. All I can say is "We are blessed!!!" Thank you Jesus for our little miracle.

Hitting his football pinata. I just woke him up from his nap so he was not too excited about this.

My nephew swung the bat "full-force" down and broke it off the string. Good hit Blade!!!

Don't worry. An electrical engineer and a nurse can fix anything. We're a great pair!
